Positive Points
There are lots of posistive points we can get in the story of Maria Makiling. One is money can't buy happiness nor love as seen with Maria's first suitor, Captain Lara. Second is being kind and humble just like Maria. Third is if you're rejected, do not envy, get mad, or take revenge on others especially to the point you want to kill them.
Conclusion
Maria Makiling loved Juan so much.
